Langkah Installasi MySQL 5.7 di Ubuntu Server 17.04

Untuk melakukan intallasi MySQL 5.7 server kita dapat melakukan dengan menjalankan perintah ini

apt-get -y install mysql-server mysql-client

Paket mysql-server dan mysql-client juga disebut meta-package . Kedua paket tersebut selalu update ketika tersedia versi baru dari ubuntu. Versi terakhir yang tersedia adalah MySQL 5.7.

Kita akan setting password root untuk MySQL ketika proses installasi MySQL. Untuk keamanan kita dapat menghapus anonymous user dan test database. Silahkan jalankan perintah ini

mysql_secure_installation

Akan muncul pertanyaan  dan silahkan untuk di jawab

By default, a MySQL installation has an anonymous user,

Normally, root should only be allowed to connect from

'localhost'. This ensures that someone cannot guess at

the root password from the network.

anyone can access. This is also intended only for testing,

and should be removed before moving into a production

environment.
